Viwinco is searching for a Manufacturing Project Engineering Manager to join our organization! This role will be responsible for Engineering and Project Management of operational and capital expenditure projects from conception through completion. This includes new equipment purchase and installation, improvement and refurbishment of existing equipment, and Factory layout projects.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Schedules, plans, forecasts, resources, and manages all the technical activities associated with the assigned projects
• Complies with standards, regulations, and/ or best practices associated with the technical areas of the projects, specifically in the areas of engineering, QA/ QC, and/ or machinery
• Oversees quality control of the work and reports regularly on project status
• Effective Project Management - Assigns responsibilities for specific project tasks, communicates expectations effectively, and follows up on expected work output to ensure project progress according to the established scope, budget, and schedule
• Reviews engineering deliverables and where needed, initiates appropriate corrective actions
• Collaborates effectively across various functions to ensure project delivery
• Works with contractors and outside vendors to provide external support to the assigned projects
• Ensures project adheres to company safety policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or any other relevant field of study
• At least 3 – 5 years of experience in a project engineer capacity or related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with Project Management of large capital projects
• Project Management certification preferred
• Excellent computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of Spanish is preferred, but not required

The Manufacturing Project Engineering Manager reports to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager. There are no direct reports.
