GENERAL SUMMARY: Responsible for leading the clinical activities and personnel in the Neurosurgery office, within scope of licensure, to ensure high quality patient care, teamwork, and coordination of care.# Assists in determining work priorities, preparing daily work assignments, and monitoring compliance for regulatory requirements.# Serves as resource for clinical staff,#in partnership with the Office Manager, in resolving operation and patient care problems.# Acts as physician liaison and role model for staff. RN Lead will also work alongside her team to triage/assess patients via incoming calls and electronic#MyChart messages; as well as provide patient education; schedule/coordinate surgeries and pre-op clearances and provide support to the prior auth team for surgeries scheduled. Hours: Full time 40 hours / week. Monday # Friday between 8am-5:30pm. This position is eligible for benefits. Location: 120 S Spalding, Naperville Office: Busy Neuroscience#office supporting Surgeons#and Advanced Practice Providers. #KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Required Education and/or Experience: A minimum of two years of nursing experience One to two years of physician practice experience Ability to maintain confidentiality in all circumstances. Self-starter, able to prioritize responsibilities throughout the day. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Required License and/or Certification: Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse license Current CPR Certification issued by either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross #In the event (1) any declared national, state or municipal disaster or other catastrophic event or (2) any implementation of the hospital#s disaster plan that will substantially affect or increase the need for health care services any nurse may be required to work mandated overtime.
