We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist and providing quality dental care to our patients. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive dental practice.

Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring cleanliness and organization
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, providing necessary instruments and materials
- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
- Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical history as necessary
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms following proper infection control protocols
- Assist in scheduling appointments and managing patient flow

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience
- Current certification in dental assisting preferred
- Proficient in using dental software such as open dental, Eaglesoft, or Epic
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and oral health procedures
- Experience with taking digital x-rays and operating dental equipment
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages, including pediatrics

Expected hours: 32 per week
