Vivalon is looking for a Home Delivered Meals Administrator. 

This role is key to the success of Vivalon’s home-delivered meal programs including Meals on Wheels, Nourish by Vivalon, and Pet Program. This position provides critical administrative and operational support to the program to ensure that the complex operations are as efficient as possible, meet high standards of food safety and effectively serve our Vivalon clients. Duties include coordinating meals & and deliveries, working closely with paid and volunteer drivers, performing administrative tasks including tracking and reporting of data, and other support duties as required.

Requirements

Essential Functions: 

• Lead the accurate organization and packing of meals for delivery several days per week.
• Ensure drivers have all required documentation and meals for efficient delivery. 
• Serve as cover driver for deliveries as needed. 
• Organize meals delivered to Vivalon from all sources 
• Provide training, oversight, direction, and appreciation for volunteers. 
• Provide training and support to paid drivers. 
• Perform administrative duties including tracking of program data, updating route sheets, maintaining volunteer information, and other reporting. 
• Continuously improve processes and systems to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. 
• Ensure documentation and records are properly completed and securely stored. 

Qualifications: 

• Once hired, a Safeserve certification for food handling is required. 
• Detail-oriented, organized, efficient, and able to complete tasks independently. 
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office suite and Salesforce.
• Flexible and able to prioritize new tasks to meet operational deadlines in a dynamic environment. 
• Passionate about the clients served and ensuring their needs are met. 
• Valid California Driver's License and a clean DMV record. 
• Ability to perform work according to established procedures. 
• Access to reliable automobile, air-conditioned, and with a current insurance certificate. 
• Ability to communicate appropriately with clients, staff, and volunteers. 
• Ability to read road maps and safely navigate a vehicle on a prescribed route with multiple delivery stops. 

Compensation and Benefits:

• $26-$28 hourly (depending on experience)
