We are looking for a Industrial Controls Engineer for our Meadville PA float plant to be is responsible for full plant technological and programming support of the Float glass equipment and production processes and products to ensure reliability and optimum use of resources. The incumbent also provides continuous improvements in the areas of safety, quality and value.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee production controls equipment and processes to assure production consistency and to increase plant safety, quality, efficiency and to reduce variable costs.2. Develop project plans related to programming assignments and assist in developing short and medium range plans, providing information for Project Expense requests and ACT’s related to plant and process controls (including basic technical information, vendor contract, review of technical data and performance of technical study projects) to assist in decision-making for expensed and capital project improvements.3. Utilize effective cost controls and sound programming judgment in the timely planning and implementation of projects and other work assignments to contribute to plant productivity and profitability goals and objectives.4. Work with maintenance and production to provide technological guidance and assistance in developing operational and maintenance procedures to ensure the plant Process can perform at optimum levels on a consistent basis.5. Utilize various data analysis techniques to contribute to continuous improvement activities and to best meet customer requirements.6. Implement and emphasize safety, health and environmental control policies and procedures in both personal work activities and in equipment/process design and modifications in order to contribute to and ensure

plant/company safety and health goals are achieved

Qualifications

Experience required with the following: Modicon PLC’s, Microsoft .NET, WPF using MVVM for application development. C , virtual basic, HMI, GE Ifix. High level of competency with windows based computer systems.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to summarize and communicate results clearly. • Must be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.• Ability to lead and effectively participate in teams.• Ability to work without close supervision
