Job Summary

Vitality Works is looking for a dedicated and motivated individual to assist in the facilitation and execution of any and all packaging activities as well as effectively supervise Packaging Technicians. Maintain all processes and documentation and apply all Company Policies.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Maintain visitor-ready work environment ensuring Packaging is organized, safe and clean.
• Understand and practice fair and consistent enforcement of company policies.
• Attend daily start-of-shift meetings with line lead and encourage dialogue, de-brief, planning, organization, and meeting documentation, and assessment of needs.
• Understand and routinely adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
• Responsible for evaluating, modifying and creating SOP’s that will effectively accomplish the task of ensuring a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Ensure efficient change overs and SOP’s are followed by personnel in all processes and equipment.
• Assist in coordinating assignments and operations within Packaging of Capsule and Liquid areas.
• Identify deficiencies and propose direction for process improvements.
• Assist in schedule adjustments and recommendations to ensure the Packaging department performs all assignments to the highest efficiency.
• Ensure all personnel are trained on proper documentation and all documentation is filled out legibly and correctly.
• Ensure all personnel are complete and up to date on all SOP training in the Verse Quality System.
• Direct packaging techs 1 through 3 in their operations for the successful completion of their assignments.
• Assist in creating and achieving quotas and goals for Packaging.
• Understanding of Regulatory and GMP guidelines CFR111 and CFR211 for processing and handling of Dietary Supplements.
• Take directions from Production/Packaging Manager.
• Mentor regular and temporary labor force ensuring productivity and quality of department outputs.
• Mentor direct reports for continual growth in their skill set in support of our company core values.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• The ability to understand written and spoken information in English in work related documents, trainings, and day to day operations.

• The ability to organize the team working on the line for efficiency.
• The ability to lift or move heavy boxes, trays, etc. on a regular basis.

• The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED or sufficient experience pertaining to this job.
• Two (2) years Supervisory experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Must be detail-oriented and have experience in leading employees.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to function well under pressure deadlines.
• Mechanical aptitude a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move 500 lb drum dolly.
