Role :

The Warehouse Lead assists the Warehouse Supervisor(s) in handling daily operations of the Warehouse department. This individual will support the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure all outbound shipping meets standards and timelines requirements.

He or she will maintain high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations, lead Warehouse associates and ensure correct process is being followed.

What you will be responsible for :

Assists the Warehouse Supervisor in providing guidance and on-going training to all Warehouse associates; identifies and discusses mistakes with associate to provide opportunity for associates continuous improvement.

Works closely with the Compliance Supervisor to ensure all training is current.

• Leads all Warehouse associates and closely monitors their work to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly in a timely manner;
• directs and constantly monitors the flow / progress of packages from preparation to shipment;
• Regularly observes shipping associates to ensure they consistently follow all established department and companys policies and procedures.
• Assists the Supervisor in ensuring productivity targets are achieved and that all processes and activities are running smoothly and promptly.
• Motivates shipping associates and encourages teamwork, pride and accountability to ensure productivity targets are met with a high level of accuracy.
• Assists Warehouse supervisor in resolving any shipping Warehouse issues or customer complaints. Holds daily huddle with associates prior to shift start to discuss goals and targets for the day.
• Verifies, orders, and maintains appropriate supplies for the Warehouse department.
• Collaborates with internal and external departments on any shipping related issues, paperwork; handles any necessary administrative tasks per supervisors direction.
• Jumps in when needed; Warehouse Lead will need to be proficient in all Warehouse processes and standards set forth by Management.

Will help perform quality checks, secondary checks, pick batches etc. as needed.

Who you are :

• You have a high school diploma / GED (required)
• You have 1 years inventory management experience
• You have 3 years of previous warehouse experience
• Able to lift up to 50lbs
• You have a current and valid OSHA forklift operation certificate
• Able to work occasional weekends, holidays and evenings
• You have strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve independently
