Vitakraft Sun Seed is looking for a Production Team Leader.

Role: Through the direction of the shift supervisor, the Production Team Leader will lead the production operators & support personnel to successfully achieve the production schedule while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.

Primary Duties: Assists the Supervisor with fostering a safe work environment. Serves as primary trainer on all aspects of machine safety and ergonomics such as proper lifting techniques and handling materials.

Leads team members to adhere to Safe Quality Food Standards. Leads or assists with the shift huddle communications including job requirements and defined production methods. Leads or assists with pre-start up safety checks, interfaces with the scheduler to understand schedule requirements, and leads or assists with management of line change-over and understanding ingredients for each produced product.

Manages a safe, clean and healthy working environment promoting a spirit of teamwork and cooperation. Assists with corrective actions for issues that are found during the line audits, quality audits and process audits. Completes other tasks as directed

Must possess computer skills such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel. Must be able to quickly learn plant computer systems.

Education Requirements: Previous experience in team leadership, formal leadership training, educated in PPE & good manufacturing practices for food production environments.
