Responsibilities include assisting the Clinical Director with coordination and supervision of nursing care and daily clinical operations of the ambulatory surgical center.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinates and supervises the nursing care and daily clinical operations
• Staff management and delegation of job duties
• Prepares daily staff assignments and monthly staff schedules in accordance with vacations and holidays
• Assists in the orientation of new employees
• Facilitates daily surgery schedule with the CSS
• Acts as a liaison between the Clinical Director, staff, and surgeons
• Observes performance of all staff and provides feedback to the Clinical Director
• Assists with annual evaluations
• Along with the Clinical Director, participates in the development and implementation of TQM/Risk Management Program
• Requires understanding and regulation of fiscal cost containment
• Responsible for the coordination and maintenance of equipment, supplies and medications
• Assumes responsibilities for Clinical Director in her absence

Qualifications

Experience

• Previous management experience preferred
• Strong ethical and moral character references
• ASC experience is preferred
• Computer literacy is required

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing

Certificate/License

• Current license with the State of Virginia Board of Nursing
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
