VISTA MARIA is Hiring an Evaluation Specialist Near Dearborn, MI

Job DescriptionIn accordance with the Agency’s mission statement, policies and procedures, professional Code of Ethics,
State of Michigan licensing, contracts, funding, and accreditation standards; the Evaluation Specialist is
responsible for assisting with the functions of the Quality Department including supporting the quality
improvement and data management initiatives to meet the Agency’s continuous quality improvement
standards. The Specialist supports program evaluations, feedback surveys, and evaluates Agency
performance.
TASKS OF THE POSITIONCollaborate with programs to create meaningful program evaluations plans
Create evaluation tool to measure agency impact
Create and maintain rubric for program health, assist with regular dissemination of metrics
Collaborate with program to create client feedback survey, aid in distribution, and analysis of results,
including dissemination
Conduct evaluation and performance quality improvement (PQI) trainings to build capacity across agency
Logic modeling
Participate/facilitate PQI groups
Lead efforts in collecting, analyzing, and sharing programmatic and administrative data
Support employee engagement survey, aid in distribution and analysis of results
Produce reporting on key agency quality improvement initiatives
Participate in research project approval
Supports the agency reporting requirements – internal agency reporting of risk measures, quality
activities, program metrics
Promote the use of data to drive decisions, data quality, and process improvement
Supports Utilization Review Meetings to aid the team members in the delivery of the highest quality care
and services.
Actively participates in the accreditation/re-accreditation process and helps ensure that when standards
change, the Agency plans and implements a thorough response.
Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesRequired:
Knowledge and experience working with evaluation theories and methods
Knowledge and experience working with multiple quality improvement theories
Excellent critical and strategic thinking skills
Ability to work in collaborative environment between program and support service departments
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Computer literacy skills, proficient in using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI
Effective data analysis and visualization skills
Effective time management skills
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of staff and clients
Ability to work independently and as part of a team and provide direct support as needed
Preferred:
Experience using statistical software
Experience in data visualization and facilitation tools and methods
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
None
QUALIFICATION (EDUCATION / TRAINING)Required:
Bachelor’s degree in public health or human service discipline (Social Work, Psychology, or related
field) with focus on program evaluation or quantitative research methods and/or statistics
One year of experience in program evaluation quantitative research methods and/or statistics
One year of experience working in human service field
Preferred:
Master’s degree in public health or human service discipline
Two-three years of experience in a program evaluation or research methods and statistics
Experience conducting evaluation in a nonprofit, governmental, or university settings
