Description

Vineyard Surgery Center (A Southwest Spine and Pain affiliate) is seeking an experienced Scrub Tech to join our organization in the Vineyard surgery center. This position is part-time, Monday-Friday, 2-6 days per month. Wage is dependent on experience.

Responsibilities: 

• Setting up the instruments and equipment that is required for the procedure
• Sterilizing equipment and taking an inventory to ensure there are enough supplies for surgery
• Preparing the patient for surgery
• Passing the Surgeon instruments and sterile supplies throughout the operation
• Taking a count of all surgical instruments and supplies prior to the operation
• Recounting surgical instruments and supplies at the end of the operation
• Maintaining an overall sterile environment throughout the surgery

Qualifications, Skills Requirements and Education:

• Certificate or an associate degree from an accredited program
• The ability to use hands quickly and with precision
• Strongly values honesty and is an ethical person
• Detail orientated and precise in quality of work
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Good listening and comprehension skills and can quickly respond to the needs of the surgical team during a procedure
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Comfortable with working under pressure
• Punctual and reliable
• Ability to lift and maneuver at least 25 lbs.
