Vista Equity Partners Management is Hiring a Manager – Information Governance and Technology Near Austin, TX

Position Summary

Vista Equity Partners (“Vista”) is seeking to hire a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Manager of Information Governance and Technology. In this role, this individual will be responsible for driving technology enablement initiatives within firm-wide records, data, and content projects, with a particular focus on supporting the legal and compliance business group. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both business processes and technology solutions, coupled with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

This individual will have a diversified background of IT, operations, and financial services experience, demonstrated project management acumen and excellent vendor management skills, be a strong people leader, in addition to a holistic, service-oriented approach to business relationship management. Proactively serving as a “trusted advisor,” this individual will bring first-hand experience, unique perspectives, and functional knowledge to deliver tailored integrated solutions that help the Legal and Compliance teams meet their business.

This role can be remote and is for an immediate start.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technology solutions that support records, data, and content management objectives.
  • Lead the implementation and integration of technology solutions to enhance records management, data governance, and content lifecycle management capabilities.
  • Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT management to develop annual budgets across all relevant platforms and functions.
  • Partner with legal and compliance stakeholders to assess technology needs and develop strategies for leveraging technology to meet regulatory requirements and mitigate risks.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on best practices for data management, information security, and compliance within the legal and regulatory landscape.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to data management policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on relevant technology platforms, tools, and methodologies, staying abreast of emerging trends and innovations in records management and data governance.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT management to troubleshoot issues, implement system enhancements, and support ongoing maintenance and support activities.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and educational materials to promote awareness and adoption of technology solutions among end-users.
  • Stay informed about industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies relevant to records, data, and content management, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in business technology roles supporting legal and compliance, with a focus on records management, data governance, or content management.
  • Strong understanding of records management principles, data lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance requirements, particularly in the legal and compliance domain.
  • Proven experience leading technology enablement initiatives and managing complex projects from conception to implementation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Proficiency in evaluating and selecting technology solutions, including document management systems, content collaboration platforms, and data governance tools.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and CCPA.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Possess a broad knowledge of technical and business acumen and use that knowledge to effectively coordinate team members and external resources.
  • Knowledge of project management tools used for individual project plans and overall program management.
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-up, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to function professionally under pressure, while managing multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $170,000-$225,000. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed and the applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other components may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
