Responsibilities of a Social Worker Director:

• Develop and implement social work programs to meet the psychosocial needs of residents, ensuring a holistic approach to care.
• Provide leadership and supervision to the social work team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized care plans for residents, taking into consideration their social, emotional, and psychological needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nursing staff, therapists, and healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
• Advocate for residents' rights and quality of life, acting as a liaison between residents, their families, and the facility.
• Stay informed about changes in social work regulations, policies, and best practices, and ensure compliance with relevant guidelines.
• Oversee the management of social work records, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to confidentiality standards.

Qualifications of a Social Worker Director :

• Certification (CSW) or licensure is required
• A degree in Social Work is required
• Experience in a social work leadership role within a healthcare or nursing home setting is preferred
• LTC/SNF experience is preferred
• Serious applicants
