Visionist is Hiring a Full Stack/Backend Software Engineer Near Columbia, MD
Active Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance with polygraph required
Visionist has an exciting new fully FUNDED opportunity for a Software Engineer on our largest Prime contract. You will be part of a fast-moving, highly collaborative software engineering team supporting a microservice ecosystem with several UIs using a feature driven development approach. You will be working with mission very closely and interacting with customers daily, while helping drive system design. You will also gain experience with Kafka, Linux administration, automated build tools, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Java microservice web applications
- Work closely with tech lead on technical decisions and product roadmap
- Resolve challenging software engineering design problems
- Interact with customer to resolve issues and propose new features
- Support testing and deployment of production applications

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline. (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
- 12 years of experience in software engineering
- Experience with design, debugging, and problem solving with Java
- Experience with RESTful web application and Spring Boot
- Experience interacting with MongoDB or similar database technology
- Experience in automated testing
