Belay Technologies seeks a Senior Software Engineer (SWE) (Full Stack/Backend Focus) to join our intel team. The ideal candidate shall work with a team and must have development experience. This role will be on a fast-moving software engineering team supporting a microservice ecosystem with several UIs. Project management is done using feature driven development. The team is highly collaborative, and engineers are encouraged to help drive system design. The candidate will be working with mission very closely and interacting with customers daily.

Candidates should have the following qualifications:

• TS/SCI with Full Scope poly is required.
• Twelve (12) years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. 
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. 
• Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Candidates are required to have the following skills:

• Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain Java microservice web applications.
  • Work closely with the tech lead on technical decisions and product roadmap.
  • Resolve challenging software engineering design problems.
  • Interact with customers to resolve issues and propose new features.
  • Support testing and deployment of production applications.
• Skills Requirements:
  • Experience with design, debugging, and problem-solving with Java.
  • RESTful web application experience.
  • Spring Boot experience.
  • Interacting with MongoDB or similar database technology.
  • Automated testing.
  • Must have development experience

Candidates are desired to have the following skills:

• Full stack experience including UI development with JavaScript.
• Kafka experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Linux administration experience.
• Experience with automated build tools, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
