****JOB DESCRIPTION****

**Organizational Overview:** The position is a Senior Product Manager role on the Global Buyer and Seller Solutions team. The teams primary responsibility is shaping and implementing Visas strategies for buyers and sellers globally. Its focused on (1) creating new products, services, and policies to convert more cash payments to card, (2) identifying solutions for large strategic clients to help them build their payments businesses, and (3) piloting innovative solutions to grow card acceptance in non-traditional methods and in new segments (e.g., consumer bill-pay). The team works collaboratively across the organization and the ecosystem, with acquirers, issuers, third parties and merchants, to support the needs of buyers and sellers.

**Position Summary:** The individual will be the global product manager of one of Visas recently launched consumer bill pay services and over time will expand into additional areas of new product development. The position will require the candidate to apply a mix of payments expertise and bill payments knowledge to further build out the existing service. The service partners with third parties to open payment card acceptance for billers that do not accept cards and aligns with Visas strategy to be accepted anywhere and everywhere. The successful candidate will develop a strong understanding of the needs of consumer bill payment providers, and how Visa can leverage additional existing products and services to support the segment and create new products and services as necessary to deliver value. The successful candidate is expected to work in coordination with multiple teams to identify, balance, prioritize and deliver on the segments needs. The position is based in Austin, Texas or San Francisco, California, and will report to the Senior Director, Global Buyer & Seller Solutions.

**Essential Functions**

* Acting as the product manager of a Visa consumer bill payment product/service and working to develop new segments as prioritized

* Coordinate with team lead on developing policies, strategies and products to further support Visa acceptance in new segments

* Collaborate with sales and business development teams for working with strategic industry partners, including building relationships with key clients to identify opportunities and pain points

* Deliver presentations to key clients and internal stakeholders on policy and product changes

* Analyze industry trends, the competitive landscape and monitor growth to determine strategic recommendations

* Create communications and partner with marketing teams on best practices documents, sales collateral and other customer facing materials

* Work cross-functionally across the Visa organization to execute and deliver solutions with Product, Sales, Client Services and Development

* Own solution experience, product and business outcomes

**Work Hours**: Varies upon the needs of the department

**Travel Requirements**: Minimal if any travel required

**Physical Requirements**: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

**Qualifications**

Basic Qualifications:

5 years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree

2 years of work experience in product or with a major financial institution, a global consulting firm, payment card network, technology leader or a bill payment provider

Ability to manage complex projects and processes with multiple stakeholders, with proven leadership success over a wide variety of projects and business problems

Strong collaboration skills are required. The candidate must be able to work with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, and weigh conflicting priorities. The candidate must be adept at finding common ground among different points of view.

Preferred Qualifications

10 or more years of work experience or more than 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)

5 years of experience in product roles, preferably with a major financial institution, a global consulting firm, payment card network, technology leader or a bill payment provider

Experienced with product development life cycle, including planning, development of product roadmap, defining and supporting goals and strategies, and ongoing management

Proven ability to work on complex and often ambiguous problems, to drive results

Highly organized with excellent multitasking ski
