The Global SME team is accountable for global interoperability of Small Business products, developing new products, solutions and building alliances. The team sets and leads the vision for Visa’s global credit and debit products, cardholder benefits and offers, the development of global strategy and roadmaps, and implementation supporting Visa’s small business payment products globally. The Global SME Product Team is part of the broader Visa Business Solutions Global Card Products and Platforms team which is responsible for all cardable solutions for businesses and public entities globally. The team works collaboratively with other business units within Visa including: Visa Business Solutions Global Product, Global Services, Technology, Service, Marketing and Legal as well as region-focused product delivery and client delivery teams- ensuring alignment across Visa. JOB SCOPEThe Senior Product manager will join the Emerging Solutions and Innovation group within the SMB product Team. The group will play a central role in advancing our Small Business Innovation roadmap. Using a broad skillset, the candidate will support initiatives vital to Visa including Card Onboarding and Small Business Data Go-to-Market in support of the strategy. As part of these efforts, the candidate will be instrumental in driving product developments with suppliers and partners to deliver an enhanced Visa Business Solutions Digital Solutions’ set . As a Senior Product manager for Global Products and Platforms, this role will be directly focused on managing existing Visa 3rd party built propositions and partners and building a pipeline of Visa propositions as well as ensuring a smooth go to market . The role will work with Visa Technology, Business Services, and extended VBS Global and Regional teams to deliver functionality to meet small businesses needs. Working within the B2B segment, with a focus on the SMB sector, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the Global Small Business Data Strategy and some of the solutions associated with it.Develop and implement product delivery plan and roadmaps for SME products and propositions you have ownership for.Manage opportunity pipeline, monitoring success and proposing innovative ways to support sales.Develop and own product expertise in SMB and act as a subject matter expert to external and internal stakeholders.The management of all aspects of existing propositions and services to support the SME strategy.Collaborate with Visa’s Regional teams located in different time zones and with differing cultures to understand local payment landscapes in order to deliver small business Emerging products and solutionsA key success component in this role will be liaison with key contacts and stakeholders in the markets to obtain support in the market rollout and delivery.Make recommendations to establish relationships with segment relevant third-party business partners. Negotiate with partners and manage subsequent partnerships.Manage solutions within budget and ensuring maximum returns on investments and delivering milestones to agreed timescales and agreed KPIsDevelop, enhance and maintain all necessary market supporting product materials.This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.QualificationsBasic Qualifications8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhDThe successful applicant will possess a minimum of 8 years product and, or propositions management and development experience.Strong knowledge of the SMB segment is essential, knowledge of the data, credit underwriting industry is a plus.Experience in negotiating, working with and managing third party providers including KPI managementBudget Management skills are requiredSolid powerpoint and Excel skillsExcellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsExperience of managing major projects in a business-to-business environment with a strong focus on deliveryGood innovation skills with the ability to recognise the need for change and new ideasClear achievement drive and proven attitude and self-motivation to establish and achieve goals and targetsOrientation towards teamwork, good attitude towards cross functional working and reporting and ability to work across the organisation to ensure that Visa delivers the best results for ClientsCredibility to convince and negotiate with senior leaders by building a narrative.Strong relationship skills with the ability to gain confidence of customers, establishing open and effective relationships with all partiesExcellent professional conduct, by demonstrating integrity and honesty in both internal and external relationshipsPreferred Qualifications9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhDAdditional InformationWork Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.
