Job Description
  • Manage multiple complex sourcing strategies, scope requirements, business partnerships, and navigate complexity within a large global matrixed organization.
  • Coordinate low to moderately complex contract negotiations, involving Legal and other regulatory departments as necessary, and develop negotiation plans and strategies when required.
  • Develop a sustainable pipeline of live and planned projects/initiatives by proactively engaging Business Partners who ultimately deliver services to Visa's Clients (primarily financial institutions).
  • Ability to identify and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver superior results by facilitating change management with cross functional colleagues and key stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Create a shared vision by embedding and integrating the role of strategic sourcing into various parts of the business.
  • Support centrally-lead programs in the areas of Supplier Performance Management, Risk Management, Compliance, Center of Excellence, Spend Analytics, and Supplier Diversity.
  • Perform market analysis to support recommendations to the LAC marketing teams.
  • Accountable for executing sourcing strategies to deliver sustainable results within Marketing organization.
  • Perform market, benchmark, and spend analysis for Marketing sub-categories, such as media, production, creative, agency management, CRM and Market research.
  • Manage internal customers and stakeholders within the Visa Marketing LAC group.
  • Lead or facilitate the supplier selection and negotiation process.
  • Establish and develop strategies to deliver efficiencies, perform savings tracking and report realized savings on a continuous base.
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationship for key suppliers across multiple markets within LAC. Delivers impact to sourcing value and brings insights for TCO.
  • Participates in, and may facilitate, the selection of local suppliers and contract negotiations of moderate to high complexity, coordinating with Legal and other departments, as necessary.
  • Ability to manage complex, cross-functional teams in sourcing initiatives, understands and applies milestone checks and steering team concepts.
  • Strives to create additional value to exceed customer expectations, provides diligence. Ensures agreed deliverables are met, dealing openly with constraints and issues.
  • Collaborates with legal and other company departments and functional stakeholders to analyze risks and develop language to minimize exposure. Facilitate the local supplier selection and negotiation process.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced and demanding.
  • Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skills.
  • Exhibits a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive, and energy.
  • Works well under stress with the ability to deliver on time.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • English and Spanish language required, Portuguese language fluency desired.
  • 7 years of progressively responsible experience as a sourcing and/or procurement professional, preferably with a major financial institution or payment card company or as Marketing specialist
  • 3 years of experience managing Marketing spend categories, including developing and managing category plans and developing sourcing strategies.
  • In-depth understanding of the Marketing supplier marketplace: deep industry and/or professional relationships with supplier in the categories a plus
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing strategic initiatives and programs, including but not limited to the execution of major, global sourcing events (e.g. global RFP)
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills and an ability to synthesize information and make clear, concise recommendations on course of action.
  • Knowledgeable about contract terms and conditions
  • Significant contract and agreement negotiation experience, including development of negotiating plans and strategies.
  • In-depth understanding of Procurement policies and procedures and their application to the processing of center transactions (e.g., processing purchase requisitions, processing purchase orders, modifying purchase orders, executing bidding for transactions, and executing RFPs, as required).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Self-Management and leadership skills
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills

Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 100,700.00 to 146,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
