Trusted Staffe Seeks Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator for Level III Trauma Center in Lake Havasu City, AZ!
Trusted Staffe is partnering with a Level III trauma center in Lake Havasu City, AZ to find a qualified and experienced Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist leader to play a key role in overseeing clinical activities, ensuring medication safety, and driving quality improvement within the pharmacy department.
Bonus: $15,000.00 sign-on/relocation bonus for a 3-year commitment!
SummaryWorking under the Pharmacy Director, this position provides clinical and professional pharmacy services. You will collaborate extensively with various departments including administration, medical staff, nursing, and hospital staff, as well as external vendors and auditors. As the Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing clinical activities within the pharmacy department. This leadership role plays a vital part in establishing standards of practice, ensuring medication safety and quality, and implementing process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and lead clinical activities of the pharmacy department.
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacy Director in developing and implementing policies and procedures related to medication management.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of medication-use protocols and clinical pathways.
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards and medication safety protocols within the pharmacy department.
  • Mentor and guide pharmacy residents and staff pharmacists.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and committees to promote medication safety and optimize patient care.
  • Monitor and analyze pharmacy data to identify areas for improvement and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date on current pharmacy practice trends and guidelines.
  • Provide medication education and training to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Active pharmacist license in the state of Arizona.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience as a pharmacist in a critical care hospital setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in a lead or leadership role within a pharmacy department (preferred).
  • Strong clinical knowledge and a commitment to patient safety.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to motivate and mentor staff.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and pharmacy software systems.
