Trusted Staffe is partnering with a leading Level III trauma center in Fort Mohave, AZ to find a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their team!
About The OpportunityAs a vital member of the rehabilitation team, you will play a key role in helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life following an injury or illness. You will conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and utilize therapeutic interventions to promote functional skills for daily living activities. This is a great opportunity for both experienced OTs and recent graduates to build a rewarding career in a fast-paced, acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to assess a patient's functional abilities and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving daily living activities (dressing, bathing, self-care, etc.), work skills, and leisure participation.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, splinting, adaptive equipment training, and cognitive retraining.
- Educate patients and families on the treatment plan, safety precautions, and strategies for maximizing independence.
- Document treatment progress and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (physicians, nurses, social workers) to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay up-to-date on best practices in occupational therapy.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid Arizona Occupational Therapy license.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in acute inpatient rehabilitation (preferred, but open to new grads).
- Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in documentation and medical record keeping.
