In this exciting role, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and monitoring heart conditions by performing echocardiograms, a non-invasive ultrasound imaging technique.
About The OpportunityAs a Cardiac Sonographer, you will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the echocardiography department. You will be responsible for:
- Performing a variety of echocardiographic studies, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms.
- Accurately capturing and analyzing ultrasound images of the heart to assess its structure and function.
- Documenting patient data and preparing comprehensive reports for physicians.
- Maintaining and calibrating ultrasound equipment.
- Providing exceptional patient care by creating a comfortable and informative experience.
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) credential by the ARDMS or Certified Cardiac Sonographer (CCS) credential by the CCI (ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-Client or RCS).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical setting performing adult echocardiograms.
- Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Excellent technical skills in ultrasound operation and image acquisition.
- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation.
