Required QualificationsB.S. degree or comparable applicable experience; Excellent oral, written, and visual communication skills; Excellent interpersonal and organizational (time management) skills; Expert knowledge of MS Office and Google apps; Exerience managing social media channels; Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and website design and maintenance; Basic knowledge of financial accounting practices; Experience planning large events, negotiating prices with venues, and liaising with event participants; Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred QualificationsExperience working with higher education faculty and staff at all levels; Familiarity with Virginia Tech’s information database (BANNER), purchasing software (HokieMart), enterprise website management system (Ensemble), financial reporting (MicroStrategy, Depart), Wordpress website authoring software, and Eventbrite Conference billing software
