Our Retina practice is hiring an Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician to assist the physicians in providing quality eye care. We are looking for a friendly, professional, experienced, and responsible individual for this position. The applicant should have a can-do attitude, work well with patients and office staff, multitask, and be a team player. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and supporting the medical staff. Your expertise in medical terminology, and patient care will contribute to the overall success of our healthcare facility.

Experience preferred, but we are willing to train a motivated individual. The role will require:

• Greeting patients and being friendly at all times.
• Obtaining accurate medical history.
• Dilating eye/check vision.
• Performing Diagnostic testing.
• Perform OCT and other diagnostic tests.
• Maintain proper supply levels of necessary supplies at all clinic locations.
• Assist clinical staff with patient workups when schedules require it.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and healthcare guidelines.
• Other duties requested and/or assigned.

Required characteristics:

-Ability to multitask -Excellent patient communication skills required-Must be professional and courteous at all times- Must be capable of following instructions-

-Professional demeanor, energetic with a focus on excellent customer service

-Driving between offices is REQUIRED and a functional vehicle is expected for travel.
