Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing patient care and supporting medical administrative tasks. This position is based in a office setting and requires knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting medical histories
- Provide exceptional patient service by ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns or questions they may have
- Perform basic medical procedures such as administering injections, collecting specimens, and conducting basic laboratory tests
- Support medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and coding medical procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient workflow and effective communication
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or related healthcare role is preferred
- Proficiency in taking accurate vital signs
- Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks such as appointment scheduling and record keeping
- Excellent understanding of medical terminology and coding systems
Requirements:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or relevant certification
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to provide compassionate care to patients
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems
