The Associate Director of Sales knows having many talents within the same industry leave naysayers envious. Part people manager, part salesperson, this unique hybrid puts the M in multi-tasking.
Using their tenured experience in the hotel sales arena the Associate Director of Sales will develop Group and Transiet business to meet revenue goals as their expertise dictates. They are the leader of the pack with client relationships and community involvement and are an exceptional collaborator within all hotel departments.
The Associate Director of Sales leads, trains and co-manages the Sales Manager(s) and/or Sales Coordinator(s). They also are the “partner in crime” to the Director of Sales & Marketing building revenue goals and budgets, establishing sales strategies and focusing the sales and events team to book the most profitable hotel events.

Through the usual functions (sales presentations, prospecting, sales calls, site inspections, client entertainment and business travel) the Associate Director of Sales is responsible for developing targeted business to achieve revenue goals. They set a high bar for the team by booking the highest quality business and motivate all to do the same.
The Associate Director of Sales is cool under pressure and specializes in problem solving (especially when it comes to people management). As a titan of the industry they are involved in networking organizations and a proud representative of Virgin Hotels. Through their untouched relationships they have a pulse on supply, demand and market fluctuations.
Exciting tasks include developing and executing strategies to increase customer awareness, assisting in the creation of annual sales goals and monthly sales productivity, 1:1 rap sessions with the team and target accounts. The Associate Director of Sales has unrivaled leadership and a creative energy that leaves the team enthused to come to work each day. A head for statistics, reportings, and analysis will only heighten success of you and your team.
We live to learn. The Associate Director of Sales is open to developing their professional selling skills through Virgin Hotels organized training programs. They also assist in weekly training refreshers and are a role model for the up and comers. This position was developed to prepare for future roles in sales leadership. So with a development plan in tow the Director of Sales and senior leadership in the hotel will guide them.
Now back to biz, which is still the main focus in this role… We believe live is better than scripted and are looking for those who love hotel sales. To be considered, you must be a self-motivated rock star who is organized and thinks a little differently. We like to call it, the Associate Director of Rainmakers.
