POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for ensuring all Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, and Payroll data transactions are recorded in the accounting system. Additionally, the Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing financial and operational analysis, preparing financial forecasting and reporting, and monthly reconciliations. We are looking for someone with hands-on accounting experience. Our ideal candidate uses strong analytical skills to ensure financial data is accurate and has a problem-solving aptitude.

 ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure daily transactions, including accounts payables/receivables, general ledger, and bank and inventory reconciliations, are accurate.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing of the books.
• Reconcile all major balance sheet and income statement accounts (especially large accounts receivable amounts.)
• Generate and present GAAP basic financial statements.
• Reconcile inter-company transactions and balances.
• Perform monthly inventory cycle counts.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules within accounting software and reconcile them to the assets within the billing system.
• Create variance analysis on predefined expenses.
•  Preparing required sales tax, excise tax, business license, and personal property tax returns.
• Conduct monthly financial reviews with Sr. Director of Finance and Accounting.
• Assisting in the preparation of budgets.
• Support staff in assigned project-based work.
• Coordinate the preparation of corporate tax returns.
• Identify and recommend updates to accounting processes and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Enterprise and NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical skills in managing large amounts of data.
• Excellent interpersonal/human relations skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Outgoing and positive disposition.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance.
• Three to five years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience is a plus.)
• Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
