About the Role

As we continue to grow our organization, we are looking to add a Senior Account Executive to our team! The Senior Account Executive will serve a diverse range of clients in fields including economic development, real estate, architecture, social good and the arts. This role will require three days per week in the office and is best suited for someone who has an exceptional work ethic and is motivated to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative and creative environment. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day account activities; including regular communication with clients, assessment of clients needs and priorities and generation of ideas to meet client needs
  • Continuously generate innovative ideas and solutions to effectively meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Provide expert oversight and guidance to junior staff members, serving as the primary point of escalation for client issues and challenges. Foster a collaborative and supportive environment that encourages professional growth and development among team members.
  • Research and write news releases, pitches, fact sheets, media advisories and social media content
  • Utilize advanced pitching techniques and establish strong relationships with national, regional, and trade journalists across various media channels, demonstrating exceptional persuasive skills and strategic thinking to secure high-impact media placements.
  • Manage social media, including implementation of social media campaigns for clients on platforms including LinkedIn, X and Instagram
  • Research target media using Cision and the Internet, with support from the account team
  • Take on a leadership role in mentoring and coaching junior staff members, providing constructive feedback, guidance, and support to foster their professional growth and elevate their skills in client servicing, media relations, and strategic communications.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • 5-7 years of PR agency experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrated success in securing national and niche media coverage
  • Experience with media pitching and business writing
  • Familiarity of AP style and strong writing skills
  • Knowledge of the wider media landscape – including current events, national/statewide news and trends
  • Experience with ideation and creation of news articles, thought leadership columns and blog posts
  • Detail oriented; able to manage multiple projects in an organized manner
  • Social media experience using X, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.
