Vintage Year is located in the beautiful neighborhood of Cloverdale in Montgomery, Alabama and focuses on American cuisine with a flare and top notch wine program.

• Willingness to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed
• Willingness to try new, unfamiliar food and beverage offerings
• Additionally, the responsibilities of a host/ hostess will include but
• are not limited to :
• Greeting guests as they enter, and putting them on a waiting list as necessary
• Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions
• Seating guests at tables or in waiting areas
• Assigning guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the right number of customers
• Engaging with guests to ensure their visit is exceeding all expectations
• Responding to complaints and helping to resolve them
• Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area. Answering phone calls, taking reservations and answering questions
• A complex knowledge of the menu
• Helping out with other positions in the restaurant as needed
• Taking and delivering ToGo orders with accuracy and kindness.
• Observing tables and take note of dirty, clean, and occupied tables
• Ensuring that the front door area is both maintained and cleaned, both inside and out (this also includes making sure windows are free of fingerprints and smudges)

Pay: $9.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
