Overview:

This role will report to the Senior Manager, IT Support Services. We are looking for a team player who will provide technical and operational support for point of sale (POS) and other IT systems used to operate our fleet of stores (currently numbering approximately 125 including both mainline and outlet). This individual will partner with other team members to provide remote support for new store installations, store openings, store closings and special events. This role will also provide IT hardware and application software support for several hundred HQ team members at our Harbor Drive location in Stamford, Connecticut.

You will:

  • Troubleshoot issues on multiple computer platforms: Mac, Windows and mobile devices (85% Windows, 15% Mac)
  • Provide support for multiple enterprise applications including email, calendar scheduling, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, Internet browsers, as well as specialized department specific applications
  • Maintain daily performance of desktop computer systems, including but not limited to software installation, upgrades and patches, network connectivity, antivirus software and other maintenance tools/utilities
  • Responsible for creating and managing Gold images for all PCs and Macs within the environment Preforming quarterly updates to keep up to date
  • Respond to issues from the stores reported pertaining to all store related systems including POS/Mobile POS and all peripherals, Back of House PCs and peripherals, including but not limited to all-in-one printers, label printers, ticket printers and barcode scanners
  • Troubleshoot issues with network/wireless equipment, data wiring, and internet/phone service
  • Act as a point of escalation and support for other Support Desk team members to help resolve more advanced issues as they arise
  • Work with IT Support Desk Manager to implement new systems, policies and procedures

What you bring:

  • BA or BS degree is required. Major or concentration in computer science or Information Systems, or a relevant IT related field, is preferred.
  • 3 years of experience providing technical support
  • Experience with desktop and mobile operating systems (Windows, Mac and IOS) is preferred
  • Experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and related equipment (hardware, scanners, and receipt printers) would be a plus
  • Experience with PC’s in a LAN, network printers, wireless access points, broadband internet access and basic phone issues would also be a plus
  • Experience with other Microsoft products including Office and Office 365
  • Experience with Google Apps for Work
  • Knowledge of scripting – batch and/or PowerShell
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and organization skills are required
  • High level of self-motivation, productivity and attention to detail; be well-organized; have excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be available for on call rotation for after-hours support, including nights and weekends
