• Promotes and supports a person-centered care environment that ensures the treatment of all children, parents, family members, visitors, and fellow employees with kindness, respect, and dignity.
• Adheres to all facility and department work rules, policies and procedures.
• Provides excellent customer service while driving children to school and special activities.
• Assists children in and out of vehicles when needed, ensures that appropriate seat restraints are used where applicable, and escorts children when needed.
• Provides transportation for other Vincentian ministries when needed.
• Maintains good communication with Child Discovery Center Administration, classroom staff, parents and children to provide efficient and timely transportation to the children. This includes phone calls and text messages.
• Remain current on school bus schedules and children’s attendance.
• Assist VCDC Administration and classroom staff with office and classroom tasks.
• Clean and service vehicles with fuel, lubricants, and accessories and repot and coordinate vehicle maintenance repairs.
• Establish and monitor daily and weekly trip inspection and preventative maintenance programs, as well as maintain records regarding the maintenance of all vehicles.
• Keeps track of when scheduled maintenance/inspections are due.
• Work a flexible schedule. 10-25 hours weekly.
• Reports any problems/defects with vehicles to supervisor in a timely manner.
• Maintain a safe driving record according to company policies.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Current/valid driver's license required.
• Minimum of two years driving experience required.
• Smart phone capability preferred to manage schedule.
