Vincent Village, Inc. is Hiring an Executive Director Near Fort Wayne, IN

Title: Executive Director

Reports to: Vincent Village Board of Directors

Location: Fort Wayne, IN

Pay: $90,000 to $100,000

Vincent Village, Inc.: Mission Overview

Seeking to alleviate the generational cycle of homelessness where children are the collateral damage, Vincent Village provides shelter, care, advocacy, affordable housing and supportive services for families experiencing homelessness over a multi-year period. With a trust in God’s love and generosity, and under the direction of a diverse board, Vincent Village seeks to affirm the dignity of life for all served as clients use this hand-up philosophy to work towards self-sufficiency.

Vincent Village is the only transitional housing program exclusively serving families in the Greater Fort Wayne Area. We work to end the generational cycle of homelessness by providing services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Vincent Village, Inc.: History

Vincent Village opened as the Vincent House Transitional Shelter on December 18, 1989 and immediately began serving the needs of homeless families with children. Since that time, Vincent House has developed additional programs to meet the needs of all family members through a comprehensive continuum of care. The neighborhood surrounding Vincent House underwent significant disinvestment in housing and Vincent House began rehabilitating homes in the immediate neighborhood in 1996. A by-product of Vincent House's efforts to provide post-transitional affordable rental housing has been the transformation of the neighborhood surrounding the original shelter. Vincent House purchased and renovated 32 vacant and abandoned single-family homes in this neighborhood. These homes, occupied by "graduates" of the Vincent House Transitional Shelter Program, make up a friendly, supportive neighborhood community. To more accurately reflect this expanded role in housing and neighborhood revitalization, Vincent House, Inc. changed its name to Vincent Village, Inc. in 2008. In December of 2023, Vincent Village initiated a $15 capital campaign to replace the existing transitional shelter, office space and training facilities. It is scheduled for completion in 2025.
