Description
Villatel, a hospitality property management company, is seeking a Hospitality Training and Development Manager, to develop and implement cohesive training efforts across functional disciplines within hospitality operations! This is a hands-on position directly interacting with the operations field team and working side by side with executive leadership to plan, execute, and evaluate all aspects of training across communities and improve Villatel's operations. With Company-wide growth on the horizon, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Villatel delivers exceptional guest experiences by maintaining a well-trained and motivated workforce.
Responsibilities
•Training Program Development: Collaborate with department heads to assess training needs across various roles within the hospitality organization.
•Design and develop training programs that address identified needs, including onboarding, job-specific skills, customer service, safety protocols, and leadership development.
•Create engaging and interactive training materials such as presentations, e-learning modules, videos, and job aids.
•Training Delivery: Conduct training sessions for employees using various instructional techniques and formats, including classroom training, workshops, webinars, and hands-on activities.
•Coordinate with subject matter experts to facilitate specialized training sessions in areas such as food and beverage service, housekeeping standards, front desk procedures, etc.
•Ensure that training sessions are engaging, informative, and aligned with organizational goals and values.
•Performance Evaluation and Feedback: Develop assessment tools and mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
•Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and refine training content and delivery methods accordingly.
•Monitor the performance of employees' post-training to assess the impact of training initiatives on job performance and guest satisfaction.
•Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to hospitality training and development.
•Regularly review and update training materials and curriculum to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
•Implement innovative approaches to training delivery and technology-enabled learning solutions.
Team Collaboration and Communication:
•Work closely with department managers and HR to coordinate training schedules, resources, and logistics.
•Communicate training objectives, schedules, and expectations to employees and managers effectively.
•Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.
Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Training and Development, Education, or related field.
•Proven experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs within the hospitality industry.
•In-depth knowledge of hospitality operations, service standards, and best practices.
•Exceptional proficiency in professional communication across verbal, written, and visual mediums.
•Strong instructional design and presentation skills with the ability to create engaging and effective training materials.
•Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and adapt to diverse audiences and create inclusive training environments.
•Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
•Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
•Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
•Certification in training and development (e.g., CPTD, CPLP) is a plus.
•Well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
•Have a flexible schedule, able to work weekends and cover overnight on-call shifts as needed.
•Must be able to lift 35 pounds at times.
•Conversational fluency in Spanish is a must!
•Will be required to travel to various company locations, through Greater Orlando / Central Florida as needed.
•Must have transportation and a valid driver's license.
