The Village of Youngstown Clerk’s office is looking to hire a part-time Deputy Clerk-Treasurer who will work 25 hours a week. The position is appointed yearly by the Mayor with approval of the Board of Trustees. The Deputy-Clerk Treasurer possess the powers and performs the duties of the Clerk-Treasurer when requested to do so or in their absence.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Customer Service – our number one priority is our Village residents.
· Financial operations including documenting accounts payable/receivable, accounting entries, bank reconciliation, tax preparation and collection, budgeting, monthly reports and reporting as per NYS standards for municipal accounting.
· Attending Board of Trustee, Planning and Zoning Board meetings as requested.
· Must work well in a small team environment.
Candidates must be a Village of Youngstown resident and formal accounting experience is required. This position is part-time with no benefits. Hourly pay will range from $23-$27 an hour dependent on experience and qualifications.
