Early Childhood Center Site Director (Portland)compensation: benefits, PTO, paid holidays, bonus
employment type: full-time 40 hours
The Center Director is a member of the management team responsible for the shared administration and operation of a child care center.
The Site Director must meet the licensing requirements for a Child Care Center Director.
Minimum requirements are
5 years experience at a licensed childcare facility as a Head Teacher, Site Director or other relevant position
Prefer BA/BS degree or minimum Step 9 or AA in The ORO Registry- , Current certifications re CPR, Food handlers, Criminal History
Administrative duties include: Record keeping, Meeting licensing standards. Hiring, scheduling and supervising staff
Supervision and care of children
Development and implementation of age appropriate child care program base on Oregon's Early Learning Standards
Excellent communication with parents, staff, children, and the wider community.
Maintaining adequate supplies on-site at all times.
Supervise site personnel, ensuring policies and procedures are implemented.
Evaluate staff on a bi-annual basis.
Ensure that all staff and children(s) files are up-to-date and maintained as required by state licensing regulations and center policies.
State Licensing Regulations are met and files are maintained. Interact daily with parents, ensuring a positive and professional image.
Conduct group observations with an emphasis on program quality, safety, and staff interactions.
Keep all written records up to date (i.e -- sign in sheets, payments, attendance sheets, children/staff files, licensing forms, ouch/incident reports etc).
Develop and maintain clear and concise parent information center.
Ensure center enrollment, at a percentage agreed upon by supervisor.
Establish and train staff team in emergency procedures in accordance with licensing standards.
Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite Excel/Word Ensure that a monthly parent newsletter is written and distributed to the parents.
 Maintain a clean, attractive and orderly environment. Create an environment conducive to each child's individual growth.
Plan and implement a minimum of two site-based family events each school year.
Conduct program evaluations two (2) times per year at assigned center.
Conduct staff meetings at least monthly to distribute information and discuss progress of the program and staff concerns.
Attend a job related training's per year as requested by supervisor.
Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
Be accountable for the safety and attendance of the children and staff in the program at all times.
This position is considered to have a supervisory or disciplinary relationship over minors.
Other duties as assign to meet the needs of the program as deemed by Executive Director
