Job Summary:
Village Caregiving is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a Caregiver, you will provide individualized care and support to seniors and individuals with disabilities in their homes. This is a part-time, hourly position with the opportunity for growth within our organization.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $16 to $18 per year, paid semimonthly. In addition, eligible employees will have access to benefits such as healthcare, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and retirement savings plans.
Responsibilities:
• Provide assistance with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and personal hygiene.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks and laundry.
• Accompany clients to appointments and outings.
• Monitor and report changes in clients' health and behavior.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for clients.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a caregiving role preferred.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
