Village Caregiving is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This part-time, individual contributor role in the healthcare/medical field requires someone who is able to provide exceptional care and support to our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping others. As a Caregiver at Village Caregiving, you will play a vital role in improving the lives of our clients by assisting them with daily tasks and providing emotional and physical support. Compensation & Benefits:
The Caregiver position at Village Caregiving offers a competitive hourly rate of $15 to $18 per hour, paid semi-monthly. Additionally, we offer a benefits package including Accidental ,Vision and Dental insurance, Daily Pay card, and opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with medication reminders, in accordance with client's care plan
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding, as needed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and cleaning, to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in conversation and activities
- Monitor and report any changes in client's health or behavior to the appropriate supervisor
- Follow all care plans and protocols, adhering to company policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals involved in their care
- Attend training and education sessions to improve and maintain caregiving skills
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience in caregiving or a related field
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed
- Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends, as needed
