Village Caregiving, an established healthcare facility in Fort Wayne, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at our Huntington location. This is a part-time, hourly position that involves providing essential care and support to our patients in accordance with their individual needs. As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for enhancing the quality of life of our patients and ensuring their safety and well-being. This is an individual contributor role, requiring strong interpersonal skills and a passion for helping others.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position is $15 to $18 per hour, paid semi-monthly. We also offer Accidental, Dental and Vision insurance. including health and dental insurance. . $100 bonus, after 30 days of perfect attendance. Daily pay card. 
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and assistance to patients, including helping with daily activities such as dressing, bathing, and grooming
- Assist with medication reminders 
- Monitor and report changes in patients' physical and mental health to the Executive Director
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, including light housekeeping duties and infection control measures
- Foster a warm and positive atmosphere for patients, promoting social interaction and engagement
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and your direct supervisors
- Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a caregiving or healthcare role preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification, but will provide
- Must Have Transportation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently 
- Must pass a criminal background check 
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
