Description

Established Montessori School in Phoenix, AZ. is creating a pool of applicants for Special Education Resource Teacher positions for the 2024/2025 school year in Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary and Middle School. The Resource teacher will provide small group and one-on-one pull-out or push-in services. They will also collaborate with the general education teachers when accommodating and modifying the curriculum for students, and develop/supervise the paraprofessional’s schedule.

Villa has a unique system when completing Special Education MET and IEP paperwork. The general education and Resource Teachers provide current data to the Special Education Director, who develops or updates all METs and IEPs. This leaves the teacher open to focus on planning and providing instruction, collaborating with the general education teachers, attending all MET and IEP meetings, and participating in the project-based curriculum.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's (Required)
• Special Education Certification

Experience:

• Special Education: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card (Preferred)
• Special Education Certification (Preferred)
