We are looking for an enthusiastic Dental Receptionist that will work at our front desk and focus on solving the needs of patients that are in office.
The job description of the dental office receptionist entails receiving patients’ inquiries at the front desk and providing them a satisfactory response. The job involves effective and courteous communication with patients to understand their needs and purpose of visit. The role also involves scheduling appointments for patients to see the dentist at different times with regards to the doctor’s availability, and ensuring that patients are attended to on time, without keeping them waiting on long queues. He/she collects information from patients and enters the data into the computer systems, and makes them available to the doctor for use in carrying out appropriate examination and diagnosis of patients’ health condition. His/her duties also include ensuring that patient data is constantly updated to reflect the changes that may occur over time.
To succeed on the job, the receptionist must endeavor to keep patient information confidential and handle them with discreteness to ensure that they don’t fall into the hands of unauthorized persons. He/she must demonstrate a high level of courtesy and human relations skills when communicating with patients and visitors to the clinic so as not to give them a negative impression about the clinic, which could affect its business.
This position is full time working 4 days a week. Normal business hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00AM-5:00PM with an hour lunch break 12-1. The dental receptionist will be working from 7:15AM-12:00PM and 1:00PM-5:00PM, or until the last patient leaves.

· Greet patient with enthusiasm and a huge smile, call patient by preferred name!
· Check patients in and update all information in patient chart
· Scan all treatment plans and forms for patients
· Notify clinical staff of schedule changes and patient arrivals
· “Quarterback” the schedule, seating patients, updating medical history and moving appointments around the schedule to maximize schedule
· Verify patients insurance coverage on emergency basis only
· Call and handle no show or reschedule patients
· Open office each morning and start up computers
· Check patients out and collect balances
· Schedule next appointments
· Fill out any deposit forms needed
· Help with daily cleaning tasks of office
· Verify all clinical notes
