Victory Recovery Partners is in search of a RN for our Outpatient Opioid Treatment Program (OTP). With the collaboration of the clinical director, the registered nurse (RN) is responsible for the oversight and management of the nursing staff and the safe and efficient dispensing of methadone medication doses to clients, consistent with the clinic procedures. The RN will collaborate with members of the behavioral health, medical team and other leadership in the operations of the OTP and will operate under the organization’s philosophy, standards of practice and policy. This position will be responsible for daily reporting of all clinic requirements.

KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Dispense methadone and any other medications ordered by the provider.
• Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the Company, OASAS, and any third-party insurance payer.
• Ensures compliance with all infection control, safety, and confidentiality guidelines (OSHA, CLIA, 42 CFR part 2, etc.)
• Collaborates with the medical, behavioral health, and ancillary staff.
• Provides patient education by supporting and teaching patients about self-care management goals/ activities.
• Provides direct care for designated patients including but not limited to vital signs monitoring and medication administration.
• Ensure and maintain an adequate inventory of all medical supplies needed for medication administration and storage.
• Supervises and trains LPN staff on dispensing protocols, nursing standards, and company policy and procedures.
• Evaluate each patient’s need for nursing care on an on-going basis and make appropriate referrals for community-based care and provide follow-up as needed.
• Monitors patients during a medical and/or psychiatric emergency situation; assists with coordinating 911 transports to the Emergency Department.
• Utilizes an Electronic Health Record to document all patient care, medication administration, - accurately and timely - in compliance with Victory Recovery Partners policies and procedures.
• Participates in program evaluation and quality improvement activities.
• Supports implementation of programs and procedures developed at an organizational level.
• Understands and supports practice of other team members and refers patients appropriately.
• Maintains license and certification as required and is responsible for own professional development through periodic attendance at ongoing educational events.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum one (1) years practical experience in health care facility.
• Must possess an active and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
• Must possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must possess current NYS approved Infection Control certification (4.0 hours, valid for 4 years).
• Substance use disorder experience preferred
• Must obtain Mandated Reporter Training (2 hours) if hired.

SALARY COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
