Title:

District Leader

Reports to:

Region Leader

Function:

Promote area sales and growth through quality leadership

Responsibilities to
Store Personnel:

1. Ensure complete training and development of all Team Leaders

2. Ensure development of an Assistant Team Leader in required stores

3. Communicate and delegate work in an appropriate manner

4. Hold Team Leaders accountable for their performance and actions

6. Provide accurate, timely Team Leader evaluations and feedback

7. Help Team Leaders establish meaningful goals

9. Accurately and consistently document Team Leader’s performance

10. Send Team Leaders to training programs as scheduled

11. Ensure monthly store meetings are held in each store

12. Assist Team Leader with new hires by conducting the 2nd interview

13. Do drug screening on all new hires and random drug screening in stores

14. Constantly motivate and reward good performance in the stores

Responsibilities in Loss Prevention and Control Factors:

1. Review inventory counts weekly and resolve variances immediately

 (Weekly counts -beer, soft drink, sandwiches. Daily - cigarettes, others as needed)

2. Review the Inventory Shortage Action Plan as needed

3. Review and evaluate store tracking charts weekly

4. Conduct monthly unannounced cash audits at each store

5. Ensure stock areas and Team Leaders office are maintained in a neat manner

6. Discuss control issues with each Team Leader weekly

7. Address security issues immediately

Responsibilities in Completion of Reports and Paperwork:

1. Ensure all paperwork is completed on time (daily and other)

2. Investigate late deposits daily

3. Serve as a liaison between the SupportCenter and store personnel

4. Ensure maintenance of all paperwork in an organized and secure manner

5. Address paperwork issues with Team Leaders immediately

6. Complete the monthly store checklist on time

Responsibilities in General Store Operation:

1. Personally visit each store in the assigned District

2. Verify and encourage an adequate and appropriate staff is employed

3. Ensure adherence to contract agreements

4. Evaluate inventory levels to avoid out-of-stock and overstock situations

5. Complete assignments as directed by Region Leader

Responsibilities to Image:

1. Inspect store image standards each week

2. Ensure compliance of all managers to the company uniform policy

3. Present self in a neat, clean, professional manner

4. See that Team Leaders present themselves in a professional manner

Responsibilities to Sales:

1. Verify pricing policies and process

2. Achieve sales goals

3. Be familiar with competition pricing (gas and retail)

Responsibilities to Service:

1. Promote the practice of "Greet-Smile-Thank"

2. Promote proper use of Empowerment Vouchers by Team Leaders

3. Resolve customer complaints in a timely, professional manner

4. Interact with customers each day

Responsibilities to Profitability:

1. Operate the area in as profitable a manner as possible

2. Maximize controllable profit margins for the area

3. Control expenses

4. Set and operate within all budget limits

5. Work diligently to maintain low levels of Team Leader turnover

6. Review P&L statements monthly with each Team Leader

Responsibilities to Goal Setting:

1. Set goals for improved area operation on a regular basis

2. Sets realistic, challenging, measurable goals

3. Achieve personal goals or learn from the attempted goal process

4. Follow up on goals for self and personnel to ensure progress

Responsibilities in Inspection:

1. Conduct a monthly store image inspection form for each store

2. Conduct monthly merchandising inspections for each store

3. Submit a copy of each inspection to Region Leader when completed
