Victory Family Church is Hiring a Child Care Associate Near Meadville, PA
JOB SUMMARY
To provide dependable, safe, secure, and nurturing care to the children of our church during various ministry meetings, events, and small group sessions.
- Meet the children’s needs in a warm and loving manner.
- Complete check-in processes for children in accordance with the standard of the ministry (Victory Group manual check-in for confidentiality purposes).
- Help the parent and child with any separation anxiety.
- Consider the person over the policy unless safety is an issue.
- If in doubt, ask the Ministry Coordinator for advice.
- Have fun with the children and build relationships.
- Know the rules of the classroom.
- Never use physical punishment.
- Keep safety first.
- Focus on children, not on relationships with other workers.
- Assist the Leader during lesson time when asked.
- Stop any distracting activity created by the children during the lesson or altar call (Victory Group only)
- Compliment the child in front of the parent.
- Communicate with your leader after the event or small group on celebrations and areas of concern, if any.
- HAVE FUN!
- Consistently spend time with God outside of church time
- On-going participation in a VFC small group, regularly attending VFC church services, and tithing to VFC
- Be a regular attendee of Victory Family Church (at least one adult service per week).
- Ability to make a minimum twelve-month commitment to the position.
- Maintain all required clearances.
- Be loyal to the pastors and leaders of Victory Family Church.
- Be faithful to your assigned position.
- Live a separate Christian life.
- Attend all team meetings and training.
- Be ready to receive children thirty (30) minutes before the group or event starting time.
- Be neat in your appearance.
- Up to 4 hours/week
- VFC Ministry Events approved for Child Care:
- Thursday evenings – Victory Group (year-round)
- Team Nights (2-4 Sunday evenings per year)
