Description: The Victory Kids Director provides direction for Victory Church’s kids ministry ages birth-5th grade. The Kids Director provides leadership, training, support and oversight to all ministry volunteers. This position is responsible for curriculum selection and implementation, volunteer recruitment and development, children and family events, and equipping of parents to fulfill their calling as the primary spiritual leaders of their children. This position reports directly to the Executive Pastor.

Responsibilities:

• Discipling volunteers, kids, and families in their faith

• Oversee all programming and ministry for children ages birth through 5th grade including Sunday mornings and special events

• Oversee online ministry for preschool and elementary children (social media, online teaching content, downloadable resources, etc.)

• Lead high energy, fun, impactful, biblically relevant programs on Sundays

• Cast vision and provide strategy for the department as it pertains to the overarching vision of Victory Church

• Lead, schedule, train, coach, and build relationships with volunteer teams

• Advocate for and uphold the mission of family-centered ministry

• Recruit leaders to ensure adequate classroom staffing

• Lead regular trainings and team building events for volunteers

• Develop relationships with parents and create programming, systems and networks for them to grow spiritually and relationally.

• Partner with Victory Student Ministry for events as needed to create seamless opportunities for kids to grow in their faith from birth through high school

• Maintain a disciplined life of worship, Bible reading, prayer, fasting, tithing and giving

• Other duties as assigned by the Executive Pastor

Requirements and Skills:

• BA or BS degree in related field; or a combination of education and experience

• Minimum 3 years working in a ministry setting

• Strong Biblical knowledge and ability to teach application

• Sensitivity to the unique physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual needs of children today

• Effective communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal)

• Ability to recruit, develop, support and inspire volunteer teams

• Positive, patient, friendly and professional attitude and demeanor

• Organizational and administrative skills

• Trustworthy, able to anticipate needs without oversight, focus on tasks at hand and efficient follow-through

• General proficiency with Mac applications, Church Community Builder, Basecamp, etc.

• Must agree with and represent Victory Church’s Statement of Faith
