Vicar Operating dba VCA Inc. is Hiring a Remote Group Vice President, Mid-Atlantic

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Operations, and as a member of the Senior Operator Leadership Team, the Group Vice President (GVP), Mid-Atlantic oversees business and medical operations for the Mid-Atlantic region. The purpose of this role is to make a better world for pets by exemplifying our VCA culture, associate engagement, delivery of high-quality patient care, client experience and financial health. The GVP performs a wide range of complex activities, both strategic and operational including creating and sharing strategic vision for the regions, facilitating communication and collaboration between the support office and the field/hospital team, developing and deploying key initiatives and hiring and developing future executive leaders. The job holder is responsible for supporting and leading a team of Regional Operations Directors, Regional Medical Directors and Regional Tech Directors who support all hospital operations including assuring quality patient care, recruiting, retention, team development, human resources, negotiation, management of finances and accounting, marketing, facility maintenance, capital improvements and acquisitions. The ideal candidate will be based near the hospitals they will support, which are located in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia. Essential Duties: Responsible for supporting and leading a team of Regional Operations Directors, Regional Medical Directors, and Regional Tech Directors who support all hospital operations. Assuring quality patient care, recruiting, retention, team development, human resources, negotiation, management of finances and accounting, marketing, facility maintenance, capital improvements, and acquisitions. Solve complex problems with creative and innovative ideas. Create a positive and motivating culture with a high level of enthusiasm and personal accountability. Effectively communicate and drive the team to their vision through consistency, engagement, process, and accountability. Support the recruitment, development, and retention of associates. Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years of experience in extensive management, including multi-site or multi-department management in a service industry or healthcare setting. Experience in veterinary medicine is highly preferred. Must show experience in building partnerships and challenging the status quo to move the business forward. Experienced as a people leader with a passion for growing and developing teams. Proven record of developing successful teams through solid coaching, mentoring, and consistent feedback. Highly knowledgeable and skilled in human resources, negotiation, and mediation. Strong financial acumen and proven record of financial performance growth and success. Travel up to 60% of the time to visit regional hospitals and attend national meetings. If you are a current associate, you need to apply through our internal career site.
