Job Title: Phlebotomist
Job Type: Part-time
Job Location: Human Nutrition Research Center USDA located at430 West Health Sciences Dr, Davis, CA 95616
Shift: 8 hours shift – 2 weeks a month
Requirement:
- Licensed by the California Department of Public Health, Lab Field Services.
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program and certification.
- Previous experience in phlebotomy or a related field is often preferred.
- Proficiency in venipuncture and specimen collection techniques.
- Effective communication with patients to alleviate anxiety and obtain accurate information.
- Precision in labeling and handling specimens to ensure accuracy.
- Compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures.
Duties:
- Performing date entry.
- Ensuring all inquiries and problems are handled in a professional manner.
- Collect and label blood specimens accurately.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Maintain and clean phlebotomy equipment.
- Record patient information and test results accurately.
- Ensure specimen integrity and accuracy of labeling.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members regarding patient care.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 per week
