Veterinary Specialty Center is hiring a full time Veterinary Technician to join our team!
Experienced Licensed Veterinary Surgery Technician or equivalent experience needed for specialty small animal practice. Clinic is equipped with lab, digital x-ray, CT scan, and ultrasound machine. Applicants must be skilled in surgery assistant techniques, anesthesia, radiology, and laboratory procedures. Ability to practice at the top of your license. Work closely with teammates and have a positive and enthusiastic attitude! Good client communication and education skills and multi-tasking a must. Responsibilities:
· Compassionate animal care
· Client education and communication
· Medical record keeping
· Perform laboratory tests and analyze results
· Take and develop x-rays, CT scan
· Assist with animal restrain during examinations and procedures
· Setting up surgery table instruments
· Preparing surgical site
· Catheter placement
· Operating and monitoring anesthesia machines and surgery assisting
· Assist with bandaging and wrapping wounds
· Administer medications and treatments as directed by DVM
· Provide post operative care and monitoring
· Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments
