Job description

We are a single Doctor Veterinary practice with a physical location as well as our mobile unit which provides an array of services to clients in Oklahoma City and the metro areas. Our capabilities for mobile care fill a niche to clients and their pets which make us stand out in our field. The mobile clinic is a large RV stocked for numerous situations including preventative care, surgeries, dentals, radiology, euthanasia and occasional emergencies. We take pride in our ability to provide for people and pets who cannot be mobile.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Dependable attendance is required.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a minimum 8-10 hours day
• Strong Communication skills sufficient enough to maintain accurate records, recognize people and understand written directions.
• Preventative medicine and client education
• Understanding the importance of the animals compete history
• Animal restraint and handling
• Patient care
• Laboratory (We do not have in house analyzers. The assistant needs to know how to perform these duties in the absence of the doctor.)
• Cleaning (big part of the job)
• Surgery: Must have anesthesia experience
• Prepare mobile vehicle for house calls (cleaning and stocking)
• Radiology Skills (mainly helping the doctor)
• Able to cross-trained for front office receptionist duties

Must be a team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments and to accept change.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week

• 4 1/2 days
• No Saturdays unless for emergency
