Communications Specialist

Warrenville, IL

About the Position

Client is seeking a skilled communications professional with corporate or internal communications experience to create and implement communications content and materials that inform, educate and engage employees.

This person will work with the Internal Communications Manager to develop, manage and execute communications plans that support Client's corporate communications strategy.

Primary responsibilities include :

  • Develop and execute comprehensive internal communication plans aligned with the company's Star Strategy, ensuring consistency and clarity in messaging across various channels.
  • Develop engaging content for the company's internal communications vehicles, including e-newsletters, email messages and intranet pages.
  • Manage and maintain content on Client's intranet homepage.
  • Serve as a strategic business partner, providing guidance and support to various departments on their communication needs and strategies.
  • Coordinate with other Client departments as needed.
  • Handle administrative and other duties as assigned.

Required experience :

  • College degree in communications, public relations, marketing or related field
  • 5-7 years of proven experience in corporate and / or internal communications
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and produce high-quality work under tight deadlines, and at times, under limited direction
  • Keen eye for attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, including SharePoint
  • Proven ability to work independently and within a team
