Hillsdale Animal Hospital in Advance, NC is a small animal practice that has an opportunity for a full-time or part-time veterinarian. We have in-house ultrasound, digital radiographs, and digital dental radiographs, as well as a cloud based server that allows our doctors to access electronic records and work from home for record write-ups. What we love most about our practice is the connections and trust that we are able to establish with our clients and patients through providing superior care. Many of our clients are neighbors, friends, and peers. Our staff is truly like a family, and our doctors have been working together for 11 years. We are proud to support the Humane Society of Davie County and Lab Rescue of North Carolina/ Journey Canine Rescue. 

This is a great opportunity for new grads and experienced doctors alike, and an interest in surgery is a plus! New grads can expect customized mentorship plans based on their needs, with an emphasis on building a strong foundation in general practice. We also prioritize work-life balance, and look to be flexible with scheduling whenever possible. Our full-time vet schedule is 4 days a week with rotating Saturdays (no more than once a month). Our part-time vet schedule would be flexible based on practice needs and doctor availability. We have no after hours or on-call requirements.

A short drive from both the beach and the mountains, Advance is a wonderful place to live and work. Strategically located in Central North Carolina, Advance is just over an hour’s drive from Charlotte, less than an hour from Greensboro, and just outside of Winston-Salem. Advance offers easy access to city living, as well as the opportunity for quiet living in the country, all while offering a reasonable cost of living. Winston-Salem is home to Wake Forest University, as well as great shopping, museums, and history with a revitalized downtown. Not only the home of the original Krispy Kreme doughnut, Winston-Salem’s dining options include multiple top stops on the North Carolina BBQ Trail. There truly is something for everyone!
