PRIMARY PURPOSE

We're seeking a dynamic Project Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our preconstruction team, The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating projects, collaborating closely with the Construction Administrator, Project Manager, and General Superintendent.

ROUTINE DUTIES:

  • Prepare construction budgets and estimates by reviewing plans, specifications, and other documentation.
  • Identify and address challenges not outlined in construction documentation and incorporate them into project budgets.
  • Manage pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
  • Establish and maintain a historical cost database for labor, material, and equipment to ensure accurate and efficient bids.
  • Attend weekly estimator meetings and aim to achieve annual sales targets, with a minimum target of $10 million.
  • Collaborate with the preconstruction team to align with the company's objectives and goals.
  • Review bid boards regularly to identify projects that aligns with company services.
  • Travel as necessary to establish and strengthen relationships with clients and industry partners to generate business opportunities.
  • Commitment to community and family values.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in construction technology, business, engineering, or related field is desirable but not required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in masonry, masonry restoration, or concrete preferred.
  • Proven ability to produce estimates ranging from $800,000 to $1.3 million in masonry per week.
  • Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with project estimation software, and Tradesman software is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
